Your study progress stays on your own device — in your browser on the web, on your phone in the apps. There is no account.
The website and the mobile apps use Firebase for usage analytics, which you can turn off in Settings; the apps also use it for crash reports.
We do not sell personal data.
You can clear everything Aurora has stored at any time — from Settings, from your browser, or by uninstalling the app.
This policy covers auroratestprep.com and the Aurora apps for Android and iOS, all operated by Aurora Academy Inc., Ontario, Canada.
The website and the apps do not handle data the same way, so where they differ this policy says which one it is talking about.
Your answers, progress, streak, mistakes and favourites are stored locally — in your own browser on the web, in the app’s own storage on your phone. They stay on your device and are not sent to us.
Because there is no account, your progress does not follow you to another browser or device, and clearing your browser storage or uninstalling the app clears it.
The apps check for question-bank corrections about once a week so that fixes reach you without waiting for an app-store update. That check only downloads content; it sends us nothing about you or your practice.
Website: our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which may include IP addresses, for security and reliability. We do not use those logs to identify individual users.
The website also uses Google Firebase Analytics, the same way the apps do (next paragraph): which pages are visited, practice sessions finished with their scores, which question was answered correctly, and where visitors came from. To tell one visit from the next it stores a random identifier in a first-party cookie in your browser. No question text, no personal information. You can turn it off at any time in Settings: from then on nothing more is sent, and on later visits the analytics code is not loaded at all.
Apps: the Android and iOS apps use Google Firebase Analytics to see which features are actually used — screens opened, a practice session finished with its score, which question was answered correctly, the app language, whether a content update arrived. No question text, no personal information, and nothing tied to your name or contact details. Firebase also works out an approximate location — roughly the city or region — from the device’s network address; the apps never ask for or read your device’s location. You can turn this off at any time in Settings, and it stops.
The apps also use Firebase Crashlytics, which sends us a report when the app crashes, including the device model and operating-system version. This one has no off switch, because it is how we find out a release is broken.
To fetch those content updates the apps sign in to Firebase anonymously. This proves the request came from a real copy of the app; it is not an account, it carries no name or email, and we cannot use it to identify you.
When you write to support@auroratestprep.com we receive your email address and whatever you put in the message. We use it to reply and to fix what you reported, and we keep it no longer than we need for that.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
On the web you can clear locally stored progress at any time from Settings, or by clearing site data for auroratestprep.com in your browser. In the apps, uninstalling Aurora removes your progress with it. Either way this is immediate and cannot be undone by us — we don’t hold a copy.
There is no account to close. The usage and crash data the apps send is not linked to you, so there is nothing we could look up and delete on request; turning analytics off in Settings stops any more of it being collected.

Aurora is intended for people studying for an Ontario driver’s licence, where the minimum age for a G1 is 16. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
